WICB Honored as CMA's Four-Year Radio Station of the YearContributed by Jeremy Menard on 10/23/20 During the Fall National College Media Convention, WICB was named the College Media Association's Pinnacle Award Winner for Four-Year Radio Station of the Year. The honor highlights the station's weekly on-air music programming, podcasts, news and sports coverage. The award recognizes WICB's programming from the 2019-2020 academic year, led by Station Manager Peter Champelli '20. WICB broadcasts programming 24 hours a day, seven days a week, 365 days a year from its studio in the Roy H. Park School of Communications. Programming is hosted primarily by a student staff with a few weekly specialty music shows hosted by community members. Heard locally on 91.7 FM, The Station for Innovation also streams live on wicb.org, on its iOS mobile app, plus iHeart and TuneIn Radio.
