The Center for Faculty Excellence (CFE), Teaching and Learning with Technology (TLT) and the Remote Engagement Strategy Team (REST) are happy to announce the launch of a new resource for faculty advisors, just in time for advising and spring registration.

The faculty academic advising website was created in response to faculty requests for support in the remote environment and includes information on:

• Advising as teaching
• Advising models
• Group and individual appointments
• Helping students prepare
• Preparing yourself
• Questions to ask during the session
• Answering hard questions
• Making a student action plan
• Resources and tools

Among the tools are two new documents:

The IC Navigation Guide – a compendium of the most popular referrals for supporting students; and

The Skills Building and Tools Library – a collection of online resources compiled by students for students to help develop specific study and success skills.

Important Dates:

Advising period begins Friday, October 30
Winter term registration begins November 9
Spring semester registration begins November 10
