Ithaca College's student-run television and radio stations, ICTV and WICB, were honored during the College Broadcasters Inc. (CBI) 2020 National Student Electronic Media Convention. The event was held online Wednesday, October 28th - Friday, October 30th. 

The following students were recognized during the National Student Production Awards ceremony:

WICB

  • Best Sports Reporting (Audio) - 1st Place - 2019 Cortaca Jug Football Game Open - Sevrin Lavenstein '21
  • Best Sports Reporting (Audio) - 2nd Place - Importance of the Cortaca Jug Rivalry Football Game - Matias Weilmann '19 and Ben Carlton '20
  • Best Feature News Reporting (Audio) - 1st Place - Drag Queen Story Hour - Bronte Cook '21

ICTV

  • Best Live Sports Broadcast (Video) - 2nd Place - Ithaca v. RPI Women's Basketball February 29, 2020 - Grace Dury '21, Ariana Barreca '21, Ben Bachrach '22, Danny Sears '20 and Jason Rossell '20
  • Best Newscast (Video) - 4th Place - Newswatch December 8, 2019 - Frank Preolo '22, Maia Noah '22, Sarah Horbacewicz '20 and Kyle Johnson '20
  • Best Social Media Presence - 4th Place - ICTV News Social Media - Erika Liberati '22, Mark Scaglione '22 and Emily Rosato '20

In addition, WICB, VIC and ICTV General Manager Jeremy Menard co-presented the speaker session Getting Along With Your Licensee.

WICB broadcasts locally on 91.7 FM and streams at WICB.org, iHeart Radio and through the WICB and TuneIn mobile apps. ICTV programming airs during the academic year locally in Tompkins County on Spectrum Channel 16 and streams at ICTV.org. During the current remote semester, the station's programming can also be found on its YouTube channel and social media pages.
