Ellen J. Staurowsky (Professor, Sports Media) Published in the Journal of Issues in Intercollegiate Athletics & Spoke on the Topic of College Athletes & Name, Image, and Likeness Legislation 

Dr. Ellen J. Staurowsky, professor of sports media, along with former student, Ainslie Rhoads, second year law student at the Kline College of Law, Drexel University, published an article entitled “Title IX athletics coordinators in NCAA Division I institutions: Roles, responsibilities, & potential conflicts of interests” in the November issue of the Journal of Intercollegiate Athletics.   

Dr. Staurowsky also served as the lead guest editor on a special issue of the Journal of Issues in Intercollegiate Athleticsfeaturing nine articles addressing the topic of college athlete access to high impact educational practices.   

On November 10, 2020, Dr. Staurowsky presented as an invited speaker during the Senate Bill 206 (Skinner-D, 2019) Statutory Community College Athlete Name, Image, and Likeness Working Group public hearings on the topic of Issues Associated with Compliance and Oversight of Name, Image, and Likeness Activities in College Athletics.
