Ithaca College

On Nov. 6, the Provost’s Task Force on ICC Revision submitted a formal proposal to amend the ICC program to the Committee on College-wide Requirements (CCR), which oversees the ICC program. CCR would like to now inform the campus community of the process and timeline we have defined for review and implementation of this proposal to amend the ICC. 

 The process and target timeline are as follows:

• November-December 2020
  • CCR distributes the proposal to each school's curriculum committee, Student Governance Council (SGC), Academic Advising Center, Ithaca Seminar Steering Committee, Deans' Offices, and Faculty Council for initial feedback
    • Proposal was distributed on Nov. 16
    • Entities were requested to provide initial feedback (if desired) to CCR by Dec. 4
    • ICC Task Force may revise proposals based upon this initial feedback

• January-February 2021
  • CCR, in coordination with each school's curriculum committee, will: 
    • Distribute proposal(s) to faculty and students to collect feedback; summarize and return feedback to CCR

• February-March 2021
  • CCR final review/revision to identify formal recommendations 

• March 2021
  • All-faculty vote on formal recommendations
  • CCR sends formal recommendations and results of all-faculty vote to the Academic Policies Committee for review and eventual submission to the Provost

CCR is not distributing the proposal to the entire campus community at this time, because it may be revised based upon initial feedback from the entities listed above.

However, the campus community will have the opportunity to provide feedback on the proposed amendments to the ICC early next year.
