New Telehealth Partnership with Cayuga Health System for the Daily Health ScreeningContributed by Katie Sack on 11/20/20 In order to comply with New York State guidelines, Ithaca College requires that all employees accessing campus complete an electronic daily health screening. This does not apply to employees who are remote and who have opted out of the daily health screening. We are pleased to share that we will be offering a new feature in the daily health screening, the ability to schedule a same-day telehealth visit with a Cayuga Health System provider. This telehealth support can be used by employees who receive the notification that they are not cleared to access campus based on their responses to the screening questions. A link to schedule a telehealth visit will be included in the ‘not cleared’ notification. Employees should follow the on-screen instructions to connect with a Cayuga Health System provider for follow-up. Insurance information will be requested at time of scheduling, so employees should have that information readily available. Any out-of-pocket costs for the telehealth visit will be direct billed to Ithaca College, making this a streamlined and supportive process for our employees. As a reminder about the daily health screening process, employees who have not opted out receive an email reminder every morning, 7 days a week, prompting them to complete the electronic screening. The daily health screening must be completed before you access campus on a particular day. If you are not accessing campus on that day, you must respond "no" to the first question on the daily health screening. DO NOT delete or ignore the email. This step is important to maintaining compliance with New York State. Additional details about the screening questions can be found on the Health, Safety & Prevention website. Non-compliance with daily health screening requirements is a violation of the Community Agreement. Violations by faculty or staff will be subject to disciplinary processes in accordance with the respective policies in the Ithaca College Policy Manual or collective bargaining agreement covering the individual. |
