Join IC Beyond and mentor a student in the Ithaca community! IC Beyond works withboth South Hill Elementary and New Roots Charter School to help students learn about the world beyond. IC Beyond is a mentoring club for both high school and elementary school students. Currently, we are working on virtual opportunities for the current and upcoming semesters, and we’re looking for more mentors! Mentors paired with high schoolers will have guided discussions about everything from financial literacy to mental health. Mentors paired with elementary school students are key in helping to introduce students to new activities and experiences they might be interested in in the future. Both programs are low time commitment and are an easy way to foster a connection with a student in Ithaca’s community. A mentor-mentee relationship can be extremely rewarding for everyone involved, plus it doesn’t look too terrible on a resume.
