Electronic Media Criticism focuses on the representation of race, gender, gender identity, and sexuality on American television. The course is designed to cultivate your critical thinking and writing skills as we examine classical and contemporary television programming. The screening list for past classes have included Atlanta, Pose, Dear White People, Orange is the New Black, Fresh Off the Boat, Black-ish, The George Lopez Show, Jane the Virgin, and Master of None.
