Reminder: Seeking programs for the annual Women Leaders SeriesContributed by Michele Lenhart on 01/08/21 The Office of Student Engagement will be sponsoring the annual Women Leaders Series (WLS) from March 1 - 31, 2021 and we are seeking people and groups to collaborate with for this event. The WLS is a set of presentations, performances, or programs for students to attend, all focused on the topic of women and leadership. This year, the theme of the WLS is Essential Women in Our Lives. The 2021 theme will celebrate women who are in career fields that have been recognized as essential during the pandemic as well as other definitions of essential. If you are already planning to host an event in March that would be a good fit to be included in the series, can we collaborate, potentially sharing marketing efforts to get the word out? And/or would you be interested in presenting a 45-60 minute virtual workshop on any topic related to women and leadership, keeping this theme in mind? If you need inspiration, here is a list of what was done last year: https://www.ithaca.edu/office-student-engagement/leadership-development/women-leadership-experience/women-leaders-series-2020 If you are interested, it would be great to learn the program you are thinking about and if you have a preferred date so that we can start to work on the calendar of events. Our goal is to have the programming for the series set by January 18, 2021 so that we can prepare marketing materials and release them by February 1. If your presentation/program is already set up, you can fill out this form to share the specific information. If you would like to meet or discuss programming options, please email mlenhart@ithaca.edu or leadership@ithaca.edu. We hope that you consider being involved in the 2021 Women Leaders Series as a presenter or participant!
