In honor of the second anniversary of the passage of the Gender Expression Non-Discrimination Act (GENDA)  IC's LGBT Center is pleased to partner with the New York State Division of Human Rights along with NYS agencies and partner organizations to co-host a virtual town hall to hear the concerns of transgender, gender non-conforming, and non-binary New Yorkers regarding persistent issues since the passage of GENDA, on Monday, January 25th from 7:00-8:30 pm.

Through this town hall, we seek to hear concerns from the public regarding persistent issues post GENDA and identify opportunities where DHR, and other government stakeholders, can work with local organizations to effectively address GENDA-related issues.

Participants will have the opportunity to interact with relevant state and non-profit stakeholders and highlight prevalent issues within the community. Key agencies will also provide a brief description of the role they play in protecting community members. Register here

Individuals with disabilities requiring accommodations should contact Luca Maurer at lmaurer@ithaca.edu or (607) 274-7394. We ask that requests for accommodations be made as soon as possible.
