Ithaca College will be utilizing a badge system this semester to help others know of a student's compliance with the Daily Health Screening and surveillance testing, and their ability to access campus.

The badge status types and definitions are:

Cleared = up-to-date on Daily Health Screening ("Survey") and surveillance testing ("Lab Test"). Not in quarantine or isolation. Cleared to access campus.

Overdue = has not completed Daily Health Screening ("Survey"), surveillance testing ("Lab Test"), or both. Not cleared to access campus.

Quarantine = status is in quarantine due to close contact with a positive case. Not cleared to access campus.

Isolation = status is in isolation. Has recent positive test result requiring isolation or has indicated having symptoms of COVID-19 during daily health screening. Not cleared to access campus.

NA = screening badge is not enabled. Please contact Hammond Health Center if student is local so the badge can be enabled.

This badge system is already on for student completion of the Daily Health Screening ("Survey"). The testing cadence will be turned on by early next week and will be included in the "green" badge if a student is up-to-date and a "yellow" badge if they are overdue. Faculty and staff will be able to request badge status from students moving forward when offering access to classrooms and spaces around campus.

Students can access their badge status when doing their Daily Health Screening and it will show on their smartphone or laptop. They can also search "myichealthcenter.ithaca.edu" which will bring them to the log in screen for their Hammond Health Center portal. Once in the health portal, students may click on "Show Badge" to bring up their status.

It is important to remember that the "green" cleared status badge, does NOT mean that a student is free from COVID-19 infection. It means that they are completing their Daily Health Screening ("Survey"), testing twice weekly, and test results are negative. Continued infection prevention measures such as mask-wearing, physical distancing, and good hand hygiene are still extremely important! Please continue to abide by the Community Agreement.

Here are images for the IC Badges (not an IC student, this is a mock student to explain the badge concept):
