Janak Judd (Psychology BS, 2021), Patricia Burkins (Psychology BA, 2021), and Professor Leigh Ann Vaughn (Psychology) presented "The Language of Regulatory focus" at the Annual convention of the Society for Personality and Social Psychology. The conference was virtual this year. The poster is publicly available here: osf.io/hwk9t/

This poster was about Janak and Trish’s senior honors theses, which they presented to the Psychology Department in December.

Additionally, we found that people used different types of words to describe experiences of security that focus on self-control versus pursuing duties. Additionally, it appears that people bring different types of experiences to mind when describing experiences of self-control versus exploration.
