Deadline Extended for Scholarships for BIPOC Students

The Center for Inclusion, Diversity, Equity, and Social Change (IDEAS) has 2 scholarships available for BIPOC students for the 2021-2022 academic year; we encourage you to apply by our new deadline, Monday, March 22, 2021 by 12:00 PM EDT

The Rashad  G. Richardson I Can Achieve Memorial Scholarship ($3,000.00) is intended to recognize the leadership of a BIPOC student at Ithaca College.  The ideal candidate will have made significant contributions toward improving the quality of life for:

  • BIPOC youth in the Tompkins County community, or
  • BIPOC youth in their local community or
  • through a national organization dedicated to supporting BIPOC youth during the pandemic.  

The African-Latino Society (ALS) Memorial Scholarship ($1,200.00) is awarded to a student of color at Ithaca College who has made significant contributions to Ithaca College campus.  This scholarship aims to honor a student who has worked to influence and promote the academic, political, social, economic, and cultural welfare of BIPOC students at IC and the greater Tompkins County community (or their local community).

Only undergraduate students returning for the 2021-2022 academic year as full-time undergraduate students are eligible. Any questions about financial aid packaging should be directed to the Office of Student Financial Services.
