Zoe Shan Lin, Assistant Professor of History, presented at the 2021 conference of the Association for Asian Studies. The presentation, "Carved in Stone: Stele Building, Public Memories, and Local Politics in Southern Song China, 1127-1279," examined how local officials and literati built stelae to make public memories that helped them succeed in political negotiations.
