Dear IC Faculty, Staff, and Students,

We write today to share with you a message we sent earlier this afternoon to our Class of 2021 graduates and their families and supporters regarding Commencement.

We are planning an on-campus, in-person Commencement ceremony for undergraduates on Sunday, May 23, and a graduate student ceremony on Friday, May 21. Both will be held in the Athletics and Events Center’s Glazer Arena.

Because we are continuing to navigate this ongoing public health crisis, these events will be for graduating students only. Creative virtual opportunities for participation will be available to faculty, staff, and students who are not a part of the Class of 2021. Please stay tuned for more information.

We are thrilled to cap off this truly challenging year by celebrating our magnificent seniors and graduate students with a personal, joyful Commencement ceremony, right here on South Hill.

Thank you for being a part of this resilient community—and for all the help, love, and support you’ve given to our graduating students throughout their time at IC.

All our best,

Shirley M. Collado
President
