During the virtual SPJ Region 1 Mark of Excellence Awards ceremony held on Saturday, April 10, 2021, ICTV and WICB were recognized for outstanding broadcast journalism and news coverage. 

Daniel Passante's television package Sports During the COVID-19 Pandemic took first place in the Television Sports Reporting category. As a first-place regional winner, Daniel's entry will now advance to the SPJ national competition.

In addition, the following ICTV submissions were recognized as finalists in their respective categories:

The above episode of Ithaca Now was produced by WICB News Director Jay Bradley and featured reporting from Lauren Leone and Vedant Akhauri. The episode was hosted by Selin Tuter.

Ithaca College Television (ICTV) is Ithaca's student-run television station with over twenty weekly shows in production each semester. ICTV programming airs Sunday through Thursday on the City of Ithaca's Educational Cable Access Channel (Spectrum 16) and streams at ictv.org.

WICB is Ithaca's student-run FM radio station and can be heard locally on 91.7 FM. Programming also streams at wicb.org and is available on the WICB iOS mobile app, plus iHeart and TuneIn Radio.
