Dear Ithaca College Community,

I write this message to you today to share the unfortunate news that our planned “College Student Vaccination Day” for Thursday, April 15, has been cancelled in light of the recent announcement made by the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) recommending a pause in the use of the Johnson & Johnson one-dose vaccine. I shared this message with our students a short while ago to notify them of this important update.

Although unfortunate that we will be unable to provide our students with Thursday’s planned vaccine opportunity, Ithaca College will continue to work with its local partners to identify future clinic opportunities for the two-dose Pfizer and Moderna vaccine series.

Thank you for your understanding.

Sincerely,

Ellyn Sellers-Selin, MD
Medical Director
Center for Counseling, Health and Wellness
