As previously communicated, the Office of Human Resources would like to remind you of the upcoming changes to your paid time away benefits that become effective on July 1, 2021.

Vacation Time
The maximum vacation balance for FY 20/21 was increased by the equivalent of 10 days’ worth of accrued time (pro-rated based on percentage of full time). Please remember the change is only in effect for FY 20/21. Beginning July 1, 2021, the maximum amount of vacation time you are allowed to accrue will revert back to 1.5 times your annual amount.  Vacation time maximum balances can be found online within the Policy Manual under 3.9.12 Vacation Paid Time Away Benefits

Personal Time
Any unused personal time will not roll-over from FY 20/21 to 21/22.   You have until June 30, 2021 to use your personal time from 20/21.  Beginning July 1, 2021, the maximum annual amount of personal time will revert back to 3 days (pro-rated based on percentage of full time). Additional information can be found online within the Policy Manual under 3.9.13 Personal Time Away Benefits

Medical Time
Beginning on July 1, 2021 medical time will also move to an accrual-based model.  Medical time accrual and maximum balance information can be found online within the Policy Manual under 3.9.14 Medical Paid Time Away Benefits.

Please contact your HR Business Partner or the Office of Human Resources at humanresouces@ithaca.edu with any questions.
