As we begin to wrap-up this spring semester, we are already looking forward to welcoming our new and returning students to South Hill in the fall. We are anticipating a move-in to the residence halls that looks and feels a little closer to what we have traditionally done in the past, which has always been an incredible way to welcome our students to campus. We need the support of all our community members to make this a successful move-in!

Move-in for new and returning students will happen the week of August 16 – 20, 2021, and we are recruiting move-in crew volunteers to support this process. Your role will include meeting students as they arrive at the residence halls, and assisting them by unloading their vehicles and delivering their items to their room. Not only is this an immense help to the student, but it also an important step in keeping our parking lots from getting too congested.

This year, Move-In takes place during regular work week hours.  Because this is a vital service to our students, and provides a wonderful opportunity for all of us to engage with them, we are asking every staff and faculty member who is not already involved with Move-In to sign up for shifts during this week.

By following the link below, you can register for the move-in crew. Once the schedule has been solidified, you will be contacted to sign up for the specific shift(s) that works for your schedule. Please register by Friday, May 14th, at 5pm.
