Athletic Training Professors Present Research at National Education Conference

Associate Professor of Athletic Training, Patrick O. McKeon, PhD, ATC, CSCS and Professor of Athletic Training, Paul R. Geisler, EdD, ATC presented a breakout session on their use of progress testing and formative assessment in the AT program at the 2021 Virtual Athletic Training Educators' Conference on Thursday, April 29th, 2021

Held biennially, the NATA Educators' Conference is the premier conference for health professions education in Athletic Training. Drs. McKeon and Geisler presented "Progressing from competence to capability: The role of progress tests in the formative assessment of athletic training students", highlighting the deliberate move to programmatic assessment in the AT education program here at Ithaca College, and the early findings and successes of the progress test implementation.
