Best Wishes for Bridget McCann, Testing Coordinator, in Her New PositionContributed by Christina Moylan on 05/06/21 Please join me in saying farewell and best wishes to Bridget McCann, our college COVID-19 Testing and Screening Coordinator. She will be departing Ithaca College effective Friday, May 7 for a new position with Washington University (St. Louis, MO) to serve as their Director of Athletic Communications. Bridget’s responsibilities for testing as we move into summer will be handled by our Director, Public Health Emergency Preparedness and Hammond Health Center. Bridget has been at the college since 2017 and previously served as an Athletic Communications Associate for our athletics program. This spring, she stepped in to join our pandemic response infrastructure by serving in the critical role of COVID-19 Testing and Screening Coordinator. She has admirably managed the twice weekly required testing of our entire student population, served as a liaison with Cayuga Health System, partnered with Hammond Health Center on our badging system, and tracked compliance with required testing. She has responded to hundreds of inquiries and been an integral and valuable member of our COVID-19 response team. In her previous role as Athletics Communications Associate, Bridget was the primary contact for men's and women's soccer, men's and women's crew, women's sculling, women's basketball, men's and women's swimming and diving, and softball. She was responsible for writing press releases and maintaining the Ithaca Athletics website for her assigned teams in addition to managing Game Day communications functions such as stat keeping and overseeing live streaming. She was also involved in creative projects, including publication design, social media graphics, and video. Thank you, Bridget, for your essential contributions to Ithaca College and we wish you the best of luck in your new role at Washington University!
