Ithaca College

Once again, IC's VITA tax clinic was open for business for a very successful Spring 2021 Tax Season! Four interns from the School of Business volunteered their time in the on-campus clinic, preparing returns for taxpayers in and around the Ithaca area, as well as for IC and Cornell international students in countries around the globe, including Chile, Honduras, Canada, Scotland, Iran, and Turkey, to name a few.

Nine other interns volunteered at a second clinic in downtown Ithaca, sponsored by Alternatives Federal Credit Union. Although many clinics in Central NY were closed due to the pandemic, both clinics in Ithaca operated remotely with special permission from the IRS, allowing IC's interns to fulfill a much-needed service for our clients, while also gaining invaluable experience in a professional setting. A big shout out and thank you to our interns!
