While in London, Dr. Bajracharya will offer a course, HLTH 21400, Sustainable Living: A Holistic Approach to Health (within the ICC theme, “Quest for a Sustainable Future,” and the NS and SS perspectives). Her sabbatical research entails “a study of cross-cultural perspectives on environmental sustainability education focused on pro-sustainability behaviors and policies conducive to public health in different countries.” Read more . . . (27 words) We are looking for infants who are 5 month old, weighing less than 30 lbs., have not yet started to crawl on hands and knees and are developing typically. Your child can help us in our work to study the effect of using (or not) a robot to move around and play with toys on cognitive development. Our long-term goal is to assist infants with disabilities explore their environment in ways that would otherwise be unavailable to them. Your infant will be randomly assigned to either group a) using the robot, or group b) not using the robot; in both groups, infants will play with toys for 12 sessions over no more than 8 weeks. Each play session will be 20 minutes long and will take place in Williams Hall on the Ithaca College campus.

(163 words) Rueda De Casino (Rueda) 101– Share the fun and the excitement of Cuban style circle or square dancing in this introduction to Rueda dance. In Rueda de Casino multiple couples dance in a circle doing moves that are called out by the “cantante” or caller, who is also one of the circle dancers. The caller calls moves on the fly, celebrating dance and song, with everyone having a blast. Some of the moves are graceful and intricate while others are just plain fun, like “ping pong”, “el avion”, “salto”, “superman”, and “foto”. There are many different rueda styles, and you can dance rueda starting with as few as 2 couples to as many as 100, or even more! In this introductory 1 hour class you will be taught the rueda basic and some fun moves. Read more . . . This year the Office of Residential Life will be piloting a selection process to allow individual rising junior and senior students ( or groups of rising junior and senior students who cannot fill an entire apartment) to select housing in the Circle Apartments if there are open apartments following traditional group selection.
