As was mentioned last Fall, the Office of Human Resources is in the process of implementing a new talent management system called Taleo.  This system will replace our current online employment system for faculty and staff, our current Job Shop for posting and hiring of student employees, and facilitate a new “onboarding” process for new faculty, staff, and student employees.  We anticipate rolling out the new system during the first few weeks of June and will be communicating training dates as we get closer to “go live”.

On April 10th and 17th, from 3:00 – 5:00 pm, in Textor 101, Ithaca College will be joining an community initiative across Ithaca and Tompkins County that is over 1,000 members strong, to view the eye-opening and powerful three-part series (one hour episodes, one episode each night) PBS documentary, Race: The Power of An Illusion. Each episode will be followed by a discussion about the film and its relevance today, that will be facilitated by a representative of the Multicultural Resources Center of Ithaca, in affiliation with Cornell’s Cooperative Extension of Tompkins County.

 The Ithacan has once again been named the Best College Newspaper in New York State by the New York Press Association. The award, the NYPA's top collegiate honor, was announced April 5 at the organization’s annual convention at the Gideon Putnam Hotel in Saratoga Springs, N.Y. Ithacan Contributing Writer Ramya Vijayagopal ’17 and News Editor Sabrina Knight ’16 and accepted the awards on behalf of the paper.
