Mary Ann Erickson, Chair of Aging Studies, Presents at National Meeting on Higher Education and AgingContributed by Paula Davis on 03/07/14 Mary Ann Erickson, associate professor and chair of aging studies, recently presented at the Association for Gerontology in Higher Education (AGHE)'s Annual Meeting and Educational Leadership Conference in Denver. Erickson's presentation, "What Undergraduate Intellectual Biographies Tell Us About Aging Studies," summarized the narratives of 17 recent graduates, who had participated in a gerontology senior seminar in which they were required to write an intellectual biography outlining the experiences that shaped their identity as a gerontologist.

The events will kick off Saturday, March 29 at 2 p.m. in the Ithaca College A&E Center. Before Relay starts, we would like to invite you to participate in our Survivor Reception at 1 p.m. in the VIP Room located in the A&E Center. We will reopen with limited hours on Tuesday 3/11/2014, and will resume our normal academic year hours on Monday 3/17/2014. Please visit the Fitness Center website for details and updates. For those of you who will be in town, Island Health and Fitness is offering a reduced rate on day passes for Ithaca College faculty and staff (must bring your ID). The work will be released in March as LP/DVD by Experimedia Films with a monograph by Jeffrey Sconce. Julie Blumberg, assistant professor in the Department of Media Arts, Sciences, and Studies, spoke on a panel titled "How Social Media Changed The Conversation Between Author And Audience" at the Association Of Writers and Writing Programs (AWP) Conference in Seattle in February. The AWP Conference "celebrates authors, teachers, students, writing programs, literary centers, and publishers."
