The Study Abroad Ice Cream Social is held each fall specifically for first-year students.  It will be held Tuesday, September 17, 6:00-7:00, in the Klingenstein Lounge, Campus Center. You will have the chance to hear from and ask questions of lots of IC students who have studied abroad in locations all across the globe, all while eating make-your-own sundaes! This is a great opportunity to learn more about your options for study abroad and to hear all about study abroad directly from students who have lived the experience.

Are you interested in studying abroad? Come learn more about your options at our info sessions! The Know Your Options/Study Abroad sessions will give an overview of all of the study abroad possibilities available to you as an IC student.The London Center sessions will tell you what it is like to spend a summer or semester studying at the ICLC.  And the Exchange Programs sessions will talk specifically about our exchange partner universities and the opportunities available to you through these full-immersion study abroad experiences. A test of the Ithaca College Emergency Notification System (ENS) will take place during the noon hour this Thursday, Sept. 12. It will include a test of the Outdoor Warning System, which features a siren tone and a loudspeaker message. There is no need to take any action in response to the test.

As President Rochon mentioned at the All College Meeting on August 22nd, members of the President’s Council would like to have the opportunity for dialog with faculty and staff on the decisions and directions for increasing revenue and reducing expenditure in the years ahead.  We need to act on all good ideas if we are to be effective in our goal of significantly reducing the annual rate of cost increase to students, and your thoughts are part of this process.
