 The second annual Palestinian Environmental Film Festival (PEFF) opens Monday, April 1, 7pm, in Textor 103 with two films addressing economic immobility in Gaza, Doors to the Sea and Gaza: Tunnels to Nowhere.  Cornell graduate student Max Ajl will also provide a tribute to Vittorio Arrigoni, an Italian activist with the International Solidarity Movement, who was killed in Gaza on April 15, 2011.  Vittorio’s accompaniment of Gazan fishermen is documented in Doors to the Sea.

Big Brothers Big Sisters, that is! Big Brothers Big Sisters of Ithaca is a program that allows for children in the community to be matched up one-to-one with local college students or town residents. If you become a Big Brother or Big Sister, you will have the opportunity to spend time with your assigned child and really become a special part of their life. If you are interested in being matched one-on-one, come to our recruitment meeting on Wednesday, April 10, 2013 at 6:00 p.m. in Textor 103.

Dr. Murthy will be sharing how the lack of prioritizing women's health leads to dire consequences. Dr. Murthy has been actively involved with advocating for women's rights and has been working with students in projects to improve maternal health. She will be presenting how we can become involved in being global citizens for women's health using work at the New York College of Medicine as an example.
