Students enter the program during their first year at Ithaca College and take on new leadership challenges every semester until they graduate. Brown’s talk with address the many facets of the current peace negotiations between the Colombian government and the FARC guerrilla, with a special focus on civil society engagement in the peace process. She will highlight the struggle of victims’ to secure some measure of truth, justice and reparations in this process, and the possibilities for a parallel peace process with the ELN. Lastly, she will expose critical issues excluded from the negotiating agenda that could have grave implications for the prospects of a lasting peace.
