Marella Feltrin-Morris (Modern Languages and Literatures) presented a paper at the Modern Languages Association Conference in Boston (Jan. 3-6, 2013) as part of a session dedicated to translation in second-language development. The title was "Translation Method, Revisited: Developing Translation-Based Activities for Foreign Language Textbooks."

Every January, the Ithaca College community celebrates the life and legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr through a series of programs sponsored by the Office of Student Engagement & Multicultural Affairs.

Educational Sessions will be held from 10:00 - 11:30 am & from 2:00 - 3:30 pm. Each session will be focused on different aspects; all of the sessions are listed here. Even more of a reason to attend - they are worth SLI credit! Sign up here before January 14th to receive credit!

The Office of Human Resources is pleased to announce the kickoff of “Engaging Professionals at Ithaca College (EPIC),” a competency-based certificate program for administrative office professionals, February 27, 2013 – April 17, 2013. The program consists of eight two-hour weekly sessions.  Each session is designed to provide individuals with highly engaging opportunities to increase core business knowledge and to develop critical professional skills. The program will build upon current knowledge and provide additional insight and perspective to help participants develop needed skills for continued success.

The School of Business would like to congratulate Ayana Richardson on her new position as assistant dean of undergraduate programs for Golden Gate University in San Francisco. Ayana’s last day at Ithaca College will be Friday, January 11th.

Ayana joined the School of Business as assistant dean of student services in May 2009 and has been an incredibly valued member of the Business School staff.

Please join us as we celebrate Ayana’s time at IC and wish her success in her new position. A farewell reception/luncheon will be held on Wednesday, January 9, 2013 from 11:30am-1:00pm in the 2nd floor atrium of Park Center.
