Hello Students!

The student organization IC Fit has partnered with the Office of Recreational Sports, the Office of Counseling and Wellness, and Dining Services to bring you the Student Wellness Challenge. 

When:  Monday 10/22/12 - Friday 12/7/12

Who:  All Ithaca College students are welcome to participate in the program

What:  Each week there will be four challenges in the categories of: Nutrition, Fitness, Mental Health/Stress Management, and one Wellness Wild Card.  Participants can submit online which challenges they complete throughout the program.

On, Tuesday, October 17, Jane Ray, HR Specialist, and Michelle Rios-Dominguez, Senior Recruiter, were each recognized as "Partner of the Year" at the annual awards dinner held by Challenge Workforce Solutions! 

Challenge is a dynamic organization whose mission is to "support individuals with disabilities and other employment barriers [by] developing their skills, interests and talents [in order] to meet the ever-changing needs of today’s workplace and be productive and contributing members of their community."  In other words, this organization helps individuals face huge obstacles and challenges such as physical and mental disability – and provides services to assist the individual in successfully meeting his or her employment goals.

For those of you who are participating in a HealthCare or DependentCare FSA this is a reminder that FSA dollars are "use-it-or-lose-it" funds. Account balances are not carried over from year to year. If you have any unused funds at the end of the plan year, those funds will be forfeited. That's an IRS requirement.
