We are looking for students who identify as having a physical or a psychosocial disability to participate in a focus group where we will discuss what activities you do as a college student at Ithaca College. We will also discuss the availability of accommodations on campus for both academic and non-academic activities.

The focus group runs for an hour and a half. Refreshments will be provided. You will be entered to win a $50 Amazon gift card for participating.

ITHACA MUSIC FORUM presents "An Artist Talk with Composer Sarah Hennies." Join us for a talk with the internationally-renowned composer and percussionist Sarah Hennies. She will discuss her music that explores a persistent obsession with transfeminine identity and how she uses a vast spectrum of "queerness" as a frequent point of departure for her work. Friday, January 31 at 5PM in James J. Whalen Center 2105 (Iger Lecture Hall). This event is free and open to the public. A reception will follow.

Dear Ithaca College Faculty, Staff and Students:

Due to the recent outbreak of a novel strain of coronavirus (2019-nCoV) that originated in Wuhan, in the Hubei Province of China, I wanted to reach out directly to keep you informed.

While we are not aware of anyone in our community having contracted this strain and believe the risk to our campus community to be low, Ithaca College is working with our campus partners (including Environmental Health and Safety) and local and state resources (Tompkins County Health Department and New York State Department of Health) to help protect the health of our community members.

The All-College Gathering will be at the Campus Center, in Emerson Suites, from 12:10 – 1:05 p.m., on Tuesday, January 28.  You are welcome to arrive as early as 11:45 for light refreshments and an opportunity to catch up with friends and colleagues.

There will be time for questions at the end of the meeting, which can be asked in person, either by writing your question down on a piece of paper or by using one of the provided microphones.

Submitted on behalf of the Roy H. Park School of Communications Dean Search Committee co-chairs:

The search for the next Dean of the Roy H. Park School of Communications continues apace in partnership with the search firm WittKieffer. The committee wishes to take this opportunity to update the campus community on our work thus far and outline a broad timeline for the spring semester.

Initial interviews are scheduled for February with campus visits scheduled for mid-to-late March. The latter will include open meetings with the finalists and we very much look forward to inviting your interaction with those candidates at that stage.  

The committee are immensely grateful for the considerable interest in this search and the countless collegial contributions of members of the campus community.
