Read more . . . (89 words) Elizabeth (Betsy) Gilligan ’10 passed away last week in a car accident. Gilligan graduated magna cum laude majoring in Television-Radio with a concentration in video production. Gilligan was active at ICTV, hosting the station’s entertainment show. She also spent a semester at the James B. Pendelton Center in Los Angeles. While there, she interned at MTV in the series development department. As part of Gilligan's internship evaluation, her supervisor said, "I can't write enough praise about her performance," and noted that she was extremely professional and a "phenomenal presence." In her LA Program entrance essay, Gilligan wrote that her personal motto was "always underestimated, constantly overachieving." The family hopes to establish a scholarship fund in her name.
