The deadline for submission of midterm grades, as well as final grades for Block I courses, is Tuesday, October 19 at 10:00 a.m. In addition, the spring 2011 semester class schedule will be available in HomerConnect on Monday, October 18 in preparation for student advising, which begins on Wednesday, October 20. Students will be making advising appointments to discuss their course selections for spring. Online (advance) registration using HomerConnect begins Monday, November 8. The process of assigning classrooms and making changes to room assignments will continue during the week of October 18, with all final changes made by Friday, October 22. Thank you. Brian D. (104 words) Beth Harris and Naeem Inayatullah present at Baylor University conference "Encountering the Jewish Future: A Global Interfaith Conversation"Contributed by Chip Gagnon on 10/10/10 Associate professors of Politics Beth Harris and Naeem Inayatullah recently participated in a conference sponsored by Baylor University's Center for Jewish Studies titled, "Encountering the Jewish Future: A Global Interfaith Conversation." Beth presented "Grappling with Necropolitics as a Remnant of the Nation State: Looking Towards the Jewish Future." Naeem presented, "Does the Future of Judaism or Islam Equal the Prophetic? A Conversation of the Possibilities and Dangers or the Prophetic in Universal Religions." Their inclusion in the two day conference resulted from conversations that emerged from the inaugural Peggy R. Williams Difficult Dialogues Symposium held in October 2009, which brought Marc Ellis to Ithaca College as a keynote speaker.
