A friendly reminder to the Ithaca College campus that the Culinary Camp 2009 registration will be closed on Friday December 4th at 3pm. For those still interested in participating in this opportunity, please e-mail culinaryarts@ithaca.edu for a registration form or more details! The event is occuring this Sunday December 6th from 10am-8pm; participants can opt to attend half of the event or stay for the entirety and be a possible winner of one of the raffled donations!

Also, the Culinary Arts Club has a few vacancies for next semester on the Executive Board. For those who are interested in becoming more involved in planning food related activities, please e-mail culinaryarts@ithaca.edu! Or attend our Culinary Holiday Party at 7pm TONIGHT (Wednesday Dec. 2nd) on the 14th floor of the East Tower and tell us in person why you want to be a part of the club!

Have you wanted to learn more about how to help a student in distress and be able to help if there were a campus-wide crisis?

If so, please consider becoming a Mental Health Response Team Volunteer!

The MHRT is a team comprised of staff and faculty who can be called upon in the case of a campus-wide emergency. The MHRT has as its mission to aid the Counseling Center in providing a comprehensive crisis response to the Ithaca College campus in an emergency situation by providing basic mental health support to those members of the campus involved in a crisis, and providing them with basic information about human response to crisis and referral information for further support and services.

Commencement 2010

Assistant Professor Ari Kissiloff of the Department of Strategic Communication presented a multimedia slideshow, “Referencing The Twilight Zone: Popular Media Pays Homage to Rod Serling” at the 50th Anniversary Rod Serling conference in October.

The presentation explored how “The Twilight Zone” has been referenced, mimicked, and satirized, in print, television, and film media – hundreds of times since the show first aired in 1959.
