The School of Humanities and Sciences and the Department of Writing are pleased to welcome Pulitzer Prize-winning poet Philip Schultz, National Book Award finalist in fiction Charles Baxter, and acclaimed essayist Jo Ann Beard as part of this semester’s Distinguished Visiting Writers Series. They will be reading at 7:30 p.m. on September 15, October 6, and October 28, respectively. The readings are free and open to the public.

Tenure Seminar Announced

Award: $60,638 to Ithaca College and $107,570 to Cornell University

The Kalavasos and Maroni Built Environments Project is an interdisciplinary and collaborative effort by Cornell University and Ithaca College to investigate the relationships between architecture, social interaction, and social change during the Late Bronze Age (c. 1650-1100 BCE) of Cyprus.

The Ithaca College Sinfonietta is a newly formed orchestral ensemble open to all Ithaca College and Cornell students. All string, wind, brass, and percussion players, both music majors and non-music majors, are encouraged to join--no audition is required.
