Commencement and H1N1 Flu

As we approach Commencement 2009, the nationwide number of H1N1 Influenza cases continues to rise but disease severity remains low. There have been no cases at IC, in Ithaca or in Tompkins County so far. The most recent guidance from the Centers for Disease Control (CDC), on May 6, is similar to that for seasonal flu and focuses on preventing spread.

Please note that, beginning Monday, May 18, the Phillips Hall Post Office will be opening a half-hour later on a daily basis. The new hours of operation will be 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday. This is a permanent change to the operating hours.

Phillips Hall Post Office -- 1:20 p.m.
Peggy Ryan Williams Center: garden level, second floor, and third floor -- 1:25 p.m.
Office of Admission -- 1:30 p.m.
Alumni Hall -- 1:40 p.m.

Also, the Phillips Hall Post Office will close at 3:00 p.m. on Fridays during the same period (May 22-August 7).
