If you are home for the holidays, you might want to spend some time talking to your parents about taking advantage of a summer study abroad opportunity. Several IC faculty are planning on taking groups of students abroad this summer.

These trips are a unique opportunity to join IC professors in the field and to have an amazing trip abroad while earning academic credit. Most trips will be between two and three weeks in length.

As part of the biology major, all students carry out one semester of research under the supervision of a faculty member in the department. Undergraduate participation in original research gives students the chance to experience firsthand what the science of biology is really about.

David Turkon, assistant professor of anthropology, organized and presented at a presidential session for the American Anthropological Association (AAA) meetings in Washington, D.C. The Choir, Chorus, Women's Chorale, and Madrigal Singers will present a free concert at 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, December 9, in Ford Hall. Lawrence Doebler and Janet Galvan will conduct.

Seasonal music, from traditional carols to Daniel Pinkham's Christmas Cantata and a setting of the "Magnificat" is on the program, along with works by Grainger, Scott, and Thompson.
