The Fitness Center's Block 2 group fitness schedule will take effect on Monday 3/8/19 and will run through Friday 5/3/19.  All of our group exercise classes are offered free of charge and open to all members of the Ithaca College campus community. Class sign-ups are available 12 hours in advance online at recreation.ithaca.edu as well as at the Fitness Center front desk. There are a limited number of slots available for each class so please register early, and plan on arriving a few minutes before the scheduled start time.  Dr Fournier’s chapter, titled “Just Tell Them I’m a Chipmunk: Transgender Children and the Breach in the Oedipal Gender Assemblage”, is part of Deleuze and Children, an edited volume in the Deleuze Connectionsseries published by Edinburg University Press. 

In his essay, Mat Fournier uses the conceptual tools of French philosophers Deleuze and Guattari to discuss the biopolitical reach of contemporary debates surrounding transgender children.

Dannielle Bowman's work focuses on the way that people occupy space and time. Her recent photographic work, titled Here, Now is engaged with ideas around landscape, time and the unknown aspects of personal and cultural histories.

In her Diversity Emerging Artist lecture, Bowman will discuss her current work, older work and everything in between.

CAPS would like to announce a new service that it is piloting for spring 2019 and will kick off the week of Feb. 11-15.  “Let’s Talk” is a drop-in service that offers informal, confidential consultations with a CAPS counselor at various locations around campus.
