The Equity Portfolio Management class from the School of Business successfully presented their analyses to the Investment Alumni Board (IAB) this past December.  These presentations represent the culmination of an entire semesters study and analysis of 2 publicly traded companies.  This past Fall, the class presented their investment theses on Verizon and Waste Management to the IAB.  Both investment theses were voted on by the class, and were subsequently added to the student managed portfolio.

Students in the Equity Portfolio Management class are responsible for managing over $650,000 of real money in the South Hill Equity Fund.  Combined with the South Hill Fixed Income Fund and the Core Trading Consultants Equity Portfolio, students manage over $850,000 of real money at Ithaca College.

After an extensive selection process involving many faculty, students, and other stakeholders the feedback we received was overwhelmingly clear that Canvas is the best product to support teaching and learning at Ithaca College. Over the next two weeks we will be formulating an implementation advisory team to help guide the implementation process. Sakai will continue to be our LMS for the spring and Summer semesters while we are implementing Canvas for the fall semester. Additional details will be announced around the start of the spring semester.
