Over the past year, members of the Ithaca College community called for new programming, training, and resources to make our campus a more inclusive and diverse environment for learning, living, and working. The Office of Public Safety was one area of focus for improving relationships and protocols. In addition to the further development of standing Public Safety practices, significant progress has been made on some initiatives that were launched to help advance these goals. Below is an update on their status.

On Monday, September 12, the U-Lot (Campus Center) parking lot will be serving as reserved special event parking for the day.  Individuals typically parking in this lot will need to utilize other campus parking options until U-Lot re-opens for general usage at approximately 4:30 p.m.  Individuals needing to access handicapped parking within the lot can continue to enter the lot and use those spaces by speaking with the lot attendant.

But here's the thing: there are specific steps you can take to find the right-fit major and career for you, and there's help! Career Services has several resources to help you through the process of self-exploration and career planning. You can come by drop-ins (M-Th 11-3), set up an individual career counseling appointment, use our Career Library, or apply for our Exploratory Career Coaching Group. The group is offered in the fall semester and is open to first and second year students.

The next Massage Day is scheduled for: Tuesday, Sept 20th from noon to 5pm

Study Abroad Ice Cream Social

The Study Abroad Ice Cream Social  is coming up soon! This event features a panel of IC study abroad alumni who studied with all different types of programs, in countries across the globe. They will be there to tell you about their international experiences, provide advice, and answer questions, all while you enjoy unlimited make-your-own sundaes!  The Social will be held Tuesday, September 20, 6:00-7:00, in the Clark Lounge, Campus Center.
