 We're having a book sorting this weekend! We'll be in the Taughannock Falls room in Campus Center from 11:00am to 2:00 on Sunday, April 3rd

For a sorting, we'll take all of the books that have been donated this semester and sort them out according to genre. Then we put all of the information into our BTB database and file them away!

Join IC PRSSA (Public Relations Student Society of America) for the 15th annual Swish For Make-A-Wish basketball tournament on Saturday, April 16th from 10:00am-4:00pm in the Fitness Center. This annual 5 v. 5 basketball tournament raises money for the Make-A-Wish Foundation of Central New York. Last year, we raised over $2,000 and had over 250 student participants. This year we plan to raise $2,500 and need your help!

The 19th Annual Finger Lakes Environmental Film Festival opens today, Monday, March 28 and runs through Sunday April 3, on the Ithaca College campus and at Cinemapolis.  

This year's festival theme is LANDSCAPES. Open and closed spaces.  Natural and artificial. Reverance and nostalgia.  Geographies and extractions.  Material and immaterial. Built and imagined.

A belated welcome back from spring break. I hope you enjoyed your time away, whether you ventured to warmer climates, participated in Alternative Spring Break volunteer trips, or stayed local. For students and faculty alike, spring break is a welcome hiatus from the daily academic routine, especially after the mid-term period. For staff it is a quieter time on campus without the usual hustle-and-bustle. It is also a convenient marker; a halfway point that allows one to take stock of the semester that’s been and the remainder to come.

Fractionation (the opposite of escalation) is a process by which big conflicts are broken down into little conflicts, where they can be more easily understood and resolved.  We’ll explore the way conflict manifests in three venues (intrapsychic, interpersonal and intergroup) but we’ll focus on interpersonal aspects.
