The Ithaca College School of Music will hold its annual MLK celebration concert for 2021 virtually, tonight, Friday evening January 29th, at 7:30 p.m. 

The concert will feature past performances from the School of Music ensembles including, IC Concert Band, under the direction of Ben Rochford, Choral Ensembles, directed by Janet Galván and Sean Linfors, Mariah Lyttle and Christopher Zemliauskas, from the musical theater department, with guest soloist Samantha McElhaney John, and the Dorothy Cotton Jubilee Singers, under the direction of Baruch Whitehead. The concert will also feature faculty members Steven Banks, saxophone, and Sidney Outlaw, baritone. A special virtual performance of Glory from the movie Selma featuring members of the IC Symphony Orchestra, under the direction of Grant Cooper. Concert production by Luke Klingensmith, Brian Dozoretz '94, and IC alums Matthew Brockman '18 and Alec Staples '20.

The 24th edition of the Finger Lakes Environmental Film Festival (FLEFF) continues the theme of INFILTRATIONS and invites submissions for its online exhibition, Entangled Infiltrations. We are seeking community-based media, counter-games, interactive documentaries, new media art, prototypes, radical cartography, tactical media, ultra-short videos

Makers of selected projects will be invited to participate in one of FLEFF’s Rapid Response Roundtable events. The work will be featured on the FLEFF website.

Did you know ALL students, regardless of major, can audition for the Department of Theatre Arts productions?? Even though we are starting out virtually, we are producing a number of in-person projects! Each semester we hold auditions for our productions -- the upcoming virtual audition process includes plays and musicals.

 

Don’t have much experience in performance? No problem! Whether you’ve had previous experience acting, singing, and dancing, or have just always been interested in trying it out, we would love for you to audition!

The Center for Faculty Excellence is pleased to close Fine Artists at Five for 2020 with a special holiday program 5-5:30PM Friday. Five faculty artists will each share a short piece (e.g., song, poem, story or excerpt) that expresses a holiday tradition of their choice.
