This is a reminder that users should check their email program settings and make any necessary changes prior to the server upgrade scheduled for the weekend of July 29.

People who use Webmail exclusively to send and receive email do not need to make any changes. Users of Mac OS X Mail, Netscape 4.x (Windows or Mac) or Thunderbird should follow the steps in the instruction guide for checking and/or changing program settings (ideally before the server upgrade on July 29) to prevent any loss of email service:

Users will be pleased to note that the email server upgrade will allow for a higher quota limit for each email account. Faculty and staff will now have a standard quota of 400mb, while students will have a standard quota of 75mb.
