A tradition will continue at Ithaca College on Sunday, September 11, in commemoration of the fourth anniversary of the 2001 terrorist attacks in New York City and Washington, D.C. In a symbolic display representative of the World Trade Center towers, only the two center Dillingham Center fountains will be turned on for the day. President George W. Bush has proclaimed September 11 as Patriot Day and has asked Americans to observe the day with appropriate ceremonies and activities to honor the victims of the attacks. As has been done for the last several years as well in remembrance of 9/11, Ithaca College Republicans will be holding a candlelight vigil at Dillingham at 8:00 pm. We encourage everyone to come and help honor the memory of the fallen. Whether you lost someone you knew or even if the tragedy didn't affect you at all we encourage you to come and spend some time remembering what occured that September morning.
