Ithaca College Dining Services is proud to announce that the 4th Annual
Culinary Showcase will take place on Wednesday, January 25, 2006 in
Emerson Suites.

This showcase carries the theme of "balance mind, body, and soul" and will feature many excellent healthy food samples along with some fantastic speakers.


  • The FREE food sampling will go from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. in Suites B and C,
    then the afternoon will be filled with great presentations that are scheduled to
    be in Suite A.
  • At 2:00 p.m. Jeff Scott, general manager of IC Dining Services, will
    discuss "Sustainability & IC Dining."
  • At 3:00 p.m. Julia Lapp, RD (registered dietitian) will present "The Myth
    of the Freshman 15."
  • The showcase will conclude at 4:00 p.m. with our keynote speaker, Rick
    Peyser, director of social advocacy & public relations for Green Mountain
    Coffee Roasters.
    - Rick Peyser will do a presentation on FAIR TRADE.


    Rick is the president of the Specialty Coffee Association of America,
    which is the largest coffee trade association in the world. He also
    serves as the president of the Coffee Kids' Board of Directors, overseeing
    this international organization's work to improve the quality of life in
    coffee growing communities. Rick Peyser is also a member of the Board of
    Directors of Fair Trade Labeling Organizations International (FLO), which
    sets the international standards for Fair Trade that benefit over a
    million small-scale farmers around the world.

    It's time to think healthy! So come to the Culinary Showcase and
    experience something new to you.
