What techniques do advertisers use to market alcohol products to college students and young adults?

How are they crafted, why do they work, and how can students "talk back" to those advertisers to change the message? This lively interactive presentation by Cyndy Scheibe, executive director of Project Look Sharp at Ithaca College, will introduce the process of media literacy and advertising decoding, combining discussion and analysis with hands-on activities.

The "Media Literacy, Alcohol Marketing, and You" presentation will take place at 7:00 p.m. on Monday, September 22, in the School of Business, room 104. Space is limited.

Sponsored by the Health Promotion NCAAW Committee and the Office of Career Services.
