Kat McCarthy teaches the community how to reduce, reuse, recycle, and “rebuy”. She has worked on the ReBusiness Partners Program, curbside recycling issues, and waste management policy. Kat has been instrumental in the development of the ReUse Center, the Finger Lakes BuyGreen website, and the Finger Lakes Environmentally Preferred Procurement Consortium. After becoming a Master Composter, Kat formed the Zero Waste Festival Alliance, engaging volunteers to support waste reduction at many local festivals and special events. This Café is being held in conjunction with the Environmental Seminar. |
