Ben Hogben is Cited for Distinguished Service

Ben Hogben, Manager of Access Services in the Library, received a 2009 SCRLC Award.

The South Central Regional Library Council selected Ben for the Resource Sharing Distinguished Service Award.  In doing so, SCRLC cited Ben's record of active participation in regional resource sharing activities, including the sharing of best practices and incorporation of new technologies.   Ben's efforts have led to increased efficiencies in the College's interlibrary loan operations and the establishment of resource sharing relationships with new partner libraries.    Ben received his award from Mary-Carol Lindbloom, Executive Director of SCRLC, at the Council's 2009 annual meeting.

Congratulations on your award! The college and our library are fortunate to have you on staff. I myself have been making increasing use of the interlibrary loan system recently, and have really appreciated the improvements in how it works.
