This open-mic night will feature musicians, poets, and other artists, sharing their work on the themes of pain and hope. This event is also centered around TWLOHA’s six word-memoir project. Created by Smith Magazine, the six-word memoir project encourages people to submit their stories in a short form, which challenges people to be creative and reflective at the same time. TWLOHA is working to create a six-word memoir book with Smith Magazine. The Open-Mic Night to open to the public. If you are interested in participating, please email twlohaic@gmail.com to reserve a time slot for your performance as soon as possible. Throughout the night, there will be multiple opportunities to create and share your own six-word memoir. To Write Love on Her Arms is a non-profit movement dedicated to presenting hope and finding help for people struggling with depression, addiction, self-injury and suicidal thoughts. TWLOHA exists to encourage, inform, inspire and also to invest directly into treatment and recovery.
