Consultants On Campus Working on Wireless Site Survey Nov 4th - 15thContributed by Beth Rugg on 11/02/13
The consultants will be going room to room, building by building, analyzing current access point (AP) placement, room design, set-up and capacity, building materials and other components that affect wireless performance. Once the survey is complete, we will know how many access points are needed, where the additional gear should be placed and in what density. Since the consultants will be surveying the academic and administrative buildings during normal business hours; please provide them access as needed. They will not be going through the residential halls but may need access to classrooms during class. To report wireless problems, contact the Helpdesk or use this form.
